Lindsay Bluth

I have some thoughts;
1. She's beautiful. Portia De Rossi may be the most beautiful blonde I've seen on TV, right after Yvonne Strahovski in Chuck and before Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She glowed in season 1, and it was quite amazing considering she was going through an eating disorder, wasn't she? In season 4 she looked a little tired, and there was something different about her eyes, but still beautiful, nonetheless.
2. Do you think her character got flanderized? In season 3 and 4 she was very self-involved, knowing absolutely nothing about her own daughter. I went back and watched season 1, and she was different. Better different. She had more layer. There was an episode where she tried to punish Maeby, and at the end, they both went out to get some ice cream. Season 4 Lindsay would be too busy with herself to do that. In the Pilot, Michael made a point of saying, "I expected this from them because they're oblivious, but you, I thought you were better than this, Lindsay." So, it seems like Lindsay was better than the rest of the family, not as good as Michael, but still better.

I think Lindsay went downhill when she was around the family and turned back into an OC princess. When she was in Boston with Tobias she had to stand on her own. I don't think she was Flanderized, I think she just turned back into Lindsay Bluth.

I don't think she was Flanderized, she just wasn't prepared for the bullies who were more clever than Lucille.
