How does it end?

he goes to talk to a counsellor/psychiatrist because he got caught plagurizing "you" by Pink Floyd during the talent show. the counsellor is very bored, and the kid (I can't remember his name) is being really unresponsive. the conversation turns to his dislike of his mom, and his realization that he was happier with his mom before his little brother was born. he goes to visit his dad at the hospital, where he finally see's his dad less as a God, and more of who he really is, namely a selfish grumbly old man. His dad wants to eat lunch with his son, and he leaves the room, telling a nurse that "the man" wanted somethign to eat, before running to the natural museum where he looks at the exhibit of the squid fighting the whale (the memory he had of being happy with his mom.)

it might not have been exactly like that, but more or less. it's been a few weeks. on a side note, you should re-watch it. It is a great movie, definitely worth watching a second time :D
