shareThis movie was a total rip off of Twelve Monkeys.
As for your question, he actually did die during his jacket trip and what he was seeing was like a near death experience which kinda seemed like an ideal world, that he created in his mind. Like a heaven. Just observe how the movie tries not to break space-time continuum until the ending sequence.
Hey, Soldier. Do you know who's in command here?
actually he died from the head shot in the war. kid that shot him was the same one that lady doctor cured with electric shocks, same actor. so if we consider all the facts, everything from that point was near death experience. there is no other explanation for kids being the same.
shareIf he died from the bullet fired by the Iraqi kid, then the film IS a bit like Jacob's Ladder although the ending of JL is less confusing than here.
In discussing how the timeline changed, it's possible [tho the film doesn't make it clear] that after he saved the woman's mother, he no longer had to rely on the morgue box to stay in the future. The ending gives no indication that he will swept out of this new future. didn't hear what he said when she asked him how mch time he has left but it must have been that he has unending time or something like that. The ending here is much more positive than that of JL.

How on earth is this a ripoff of twelve monkeys? Nobody tries to go back in time to save the world from a plague.
Twelve monkeys was not the first movie with a mental hospital. It wasn't the first movie about time travel.
And this is not the first thread nonsensically calling a film a rip-off of some earlier film. In fact, this thread is a rip-off from at least one blathering nonsense thread in every other film board on IMDb.
Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.
Lol make it whatever you want it to be, time travel is impossible, not in a morgue drawer pumped with neurotics. Oh and theres just one requirement for that to even work, to have a near death experience. Well if u take the movie as a real deal then, everything that happened in it is real and when he died in the real world, he stayed in his alternate reality, probably other dimension, whatever.
shareYes, but that's what it is all about, near death experience.
But Jack London travelled always back in time, and once in this movie, they said something about going forward in time. I think that is what is most science fiction in this one. Another film in this style is "The Butterfly Effect" if you can stand the actors... :D
The end is like real art. It is in the eye of the viewer, that the art comes to life.
I'm not going to start reading about quantum mechanics.
I've still got my hands full with the concave earth or flat earth.
But the thyroid is a butterfly shape organ responsible for your hormones which can drive you to behave in certain ways.
Thank God my life is in his hands.
yes, but beautiful, read about quantum mechanics and you will start to accept confusion.
