So I watched this last night.

All I can say is wow. I have never watched a movie that has stunned me like this. I have watched the columbine security tapes and followed the coverage. (at the time I was in high school and it hit pretty close to home). But watching the development of the characters and then in the end with the security tapes WOW. After the movie ended I was in Awe. I have never felt this way after a movie the shock value was insane. Obviously everyone knows how the movie ends but when you see the whole plot unfold and you get to the end and it kinda of makes you check yourself and the reality that you live with.

Honestly I would not reccomend this movie unless you are emotionally stable. It could wreck havok on those that do not deal with reality.

Personally I feel kind of like an idiot. I borrowed this from a guy I work with who from what I remember told me it was totally the real thing. I just finished it tonight so I haven't had a chance to ask him if he really knows its fictional or if he was just messing with me.

I feel like an idiot because I actually thought this was real the whole time until I saw the end credits announcing it was fictional. I guess this is a testament to how good the film makers were at what they did.

I guess it would be hard to imagine something like this not making big news all over the country because I never heard anything about a movie like this until last week.

All in all, I was really freaked out especially during the actual shooting scenes. Are there actual security tapes of the real event?

reply

It is a mockumentary based on the basement tapes of the two kids from Columbine

reply

There are security tapes of people being shot at in the cafeteria i think, but those won't be realeased to to public until 2019 (20 years).

reply

Seriously? They'll be released in 20 years?

reply

That's what I've heard.

It's supposedly some thing about privacy that the judge handed down, and 20 years is enough time before the footage is released. Not sure if it's 20 years from 1999 or 20 years from 2001/03 when the judgement was handed down.

why 20 years?
thats random. but for me....I don't think they sould be reaslised at all.

I don't think there's any footage of the guys inside the library. If there were, then there would be an indication as to what the guys did between the point where they finished their killings, and when they commit suicide (there's a relatively long gap between). I think the only footage is of the Cafeteria, and the personal videos the guys made.

As for why 20 years? I have no clue.
