The actors portrayal of Cal + Andre's personality.

The actors portraying Cal and Andre did an ok job making u believe the realness of their character; in other words their acting seemed "natural".

But what i didn't see were those tell-tale signs/personality traits of a mentally disturbed, homicidal and anti-social serial killer-to-be (esp when they've been planning it for over 6months).. I don't know they just seemed like your average NAIVE, SELF-CENTERED run of the mill maybe nerdy, and unpopular/awkward teenagers.

I don't get if they were supposed to be portrayed as "normal" as possible by the actors because nothing screaming "PSYCHO!!!" was gotten from their 1.5hrs of screen time.. An exception being Cal's prom date saying Andre was a psycho, but nothing else.

I think that was the point. To show you, and the world, that seemingly innocuous children are capable of such terrors.

Actually, that was what made it more realistic. Most of the kids that have done this have had, in retrospect, disturbing problems but usually nothing that screamed "psycho."

The scene where blondie explains how the town is lucky to have them is pretty psycho, they're also very careful about not getting caught.

Quite a few times to me the hint of being mentally ill or whatever shined through. Like every lonely confession with Cal.. he talks like a hippie and has this odd view of how the world works. Cals friend says it all. He was strange and just gave off this evil vibe.

People expect psycho and murders to be just like the ones you see in movies and in real life is so much different. I remember seeing a program about serial killers and there was this murder who was incredible calm while he was talking about what he did to his victims. Also all of his neighbors said he seemed like a really nice guy and that he was very respectful and outgoing.
