I'm from Littleton, and I haven't seen this

Hello,

Well I was in junior high when this happened and I lived a couple minutes away from Columbine. I had a few friends who went there at the time of the shooting and one of them (though I know her family better than her) was killed. I was wondering if anyone would please tell me how accurate this film is on the whole...I know it's been almost 10 years, but I'm afraid to watch it.

To be honest, Zero Hour was much more realistic than this. Then again, it was based off of the actual events. You can tell the idea for this film came from the Columbine tragedy but that's about it (in my opinion).

nah, i'd have to disagree with you there. the horrendous acting and cheap, after-school-special-esque production of the zero hour episode on columbine squashed any realism for me.

in my opinion, zero day's realism comes from the actors' totally natural, almost effortless-seeming performances, as well as the low-budget production values (which serve the film's purpose without looking anywhere near as trashy as zero hour). another thing that makes it more realistic (to me, at least) is how the audience never quite gets an answer from cal or andre as to the "why" of zero day. eleven years later, we're still squabbling about why columbine happened.

Just watched it, Have studied the events quite a lot, And I don't find the movie "realistic" at all, Not a bad movie, Could watch it again, But the movie didn't really go into details of why they did it, Barely see them shoot anymore than 3 or 4 people, Decent movie, Realistic of the events? Not too much.

If you read about it, they cut out a lot of the killing scenes, including the security guard. Besides, why would you judge it based on that? Also, you an tell they are troubled kids filled with resentment and feeling like outcasts. Finding each other gave them the "strength" or will to pull it off.
