my sister was in Zero Day

My sister was one of the students that got shot at the end of the movie. I see her being chased by gunmen and recognize her blood curdling scream right before she gets killed. It was the most disturbing thing I've ever had to watch. I felt like I was really watching her die, that's how good all of the actors and actresses are in this movie. I believed all of it from the very beginning. Calvin and Andre are very talented actors and are very convincing as teenage killers. Even days after I watched the movie, I can't stop thinking about it. It's always running through my mind, it really got to me. This is a movie that will stick with you for a long time. It would be very hard to just forget about this once you've seen it. I recomend it to everyone. You should see how these killers think and act. They behave like normal kids that you go to or have gone to school with. They aren't the type of guys you expect to do something that horrid. It's good to be aware of the people around you, because you never know what they might be planning.

Yeah? well my wholefamily was in the movie, blah blah blah, lie lie lie.

reply

Because it's just so unbelievable that in this world with millions of movies (from crappy amateur films to bigger indie films to hollywood "blockbusters") someone might have a family member who plays a quick role? Get over yourself, "Jimmy J. Lewis". The guy is just excited his sister was in the movie, I think it's cool and you don't need to be a jerk.

Seems like your post should've read "blah blah blah I'm insecure and I can only gain little increments of self esteem by trashing other people".

haha that was kinda funny dude, "blah blah blah I'm insecure" haha great one!

people always question when they hear someone say theyre relative was in a movie etc etc. i don't see that as something too hard to believe. out of all the people in movies there are bound to be lots of people on this board related to some of them.

Wow... you really are stupid. Like, its incredible.. how stupid and ignorant you are.

reply

I don't get why some of you are so quick to call this person a liar. Why is it so hard to believe? The people in the movie CAN'T have family members or something? haha...

Anyway, back to the topic...

Yeah, It'd be pretty disturbing if I had to see a family member go through something like that. Even it is just a movie.

reply

ya. i did'nt really read it correctly. my bad

reply

we have something called every fifteen minutes and its horrible seeing all your friends dead in a car accident "fake" to show the way drinking hurts everyone around you...its extremely sad

For anyone doubting him, it's not unlikely. If he is telling the truth, his sister is what's known as an 'extra', people who are in a scene or two that are paid a flat fee around $100-$200. It's quite likely because you don't really need much experience to be one anyway

I don't see why it's so hard to believe anyone could be related to someone in this film. It's a pretty low budget project so it's not like you're saying "I know this guy from Hollywood".

I actually used to rent an apartment from Chris, one of the co-writers. He's been a friend of mine for years and I've met his brother Ben (the director) several times. Both are really nice guys.

You know, the sad part is, I still haven't seen the movie. I should ask them for a copy.

Exactly right. One of my best friends was in a British soap for 3 years (no, I'm not giving his name!), and that was quite surreal seeing him in my living room nearly every day, when he lives 200 miles away! Us ordinary people do mix with "famous" people you know.
If the poster had claimed to be the love-child of Tom Cruise and a Potato, I might have questioned the validity of the claim, but this is perfectly feasible.

I would imagine seeing your Sister "shot" would be extremely disturbing. Like I say, seeing my mate every day was odd enough, and still is when he pops up on TV from time to time.. I've not seen him "die", so I can't place how weird that would feel, but I could imagine it would be pretty damn intense.

If you dislike the IMDB's new look, please consider signing the following petition..
http://www.petitiononline.com/IMDBKEEP/petition.html. Hopefully, with sufficient signatures, the IMDB staff will, at the very least give us the option of retaining the old look, on a permanent basis.

Thanks, and please help draw attention to the poll, if you believe it to be worthwhile. The more signatures, the more chance we have of keeping our IMDB as it is!" :)

Yeah, what is so hard to believe. I have been in many small film parts and later did stand-in work for Patrick Dempsey on a "Grey's Anatomy" promo shoot and later for Josh Holloway (Sawyer, from "Lost") and I don't think that is a big deal, especially living and working in L.A.
