How disturbing is the shooting scene?

Like, Kill Bill kind of blood?

reply

Watch and learn.

Not many people have basements in California.

reply

No blood. Extremely disturbing.

reply

you can watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82N7mVgoNMM
and yes, it's kinda disturbing beacuse it's realistic and well played

reply

There are a LOT of people on Youtube who watch the Zero Day ending and think it's the actual Columbine shooting. The gore is minimal, the reason it's disturbing is because of how realistic it is.

reply

i like th part he they go to one guy hey stop and he just says fu*k you

why do you insist on looking

reply

I didn't find it disturbing (but perhaps I'm desensitised) although I did find the part where they shot themselves very hard to watch -- that was very realistic. I would imagine.

Kirk Acevedo makes my heart feel strange. Lixsth!

There were some guys on youtube who uploaded the shooting scene from this film for everyone to watch, and some people thought it was real Columbine footage. The only thing that revealed the truth was the fact that Klebold wasn't blonde. And of course the room where bouth guys shoot themselves in the film looks very different.

reply

And the date. It's easy to tell the film from Columbine because of the date - which is clear at the bottom of the screen.

reply

Yeah, right. But... You know, when you see a couple of guys doing all those things, you not always look at the date right away. First thing somebody wrote in the comments was: "Oh, my God! It's real!" The scene is shocking enough, and it is even more shocking when somebody says - "Hey, guys, it's a real thing!" Of course, it would be nothing against the REAL tape but I can only hope to never see it in my life.

reply

It is very gritty and realistic. It will shock most, for me, I was extremely impressed with how the director pulled it off. Really topped off an amazing movie.

Very disturbing.

The disgusting part is that this scene is apparently similar to how the real Columbine massacre went down: laughing, having fun, taunting their victims, eventually getting "bored" with shooting. The whole thing was a level of Doom for those two.

"I've been living on toxic waste for years, and I'm fine. Just ask my other heads!"

reply

Didn't any of you think it was particularly mean that they told that one guy it was his lucky day and that they knew him and wouldn't shoot him, and thar he would live... and then turned around and pumped him full of bullets?

Yes it was pretty bad. There was plenty of black humour in the shooting scenes, like how that one kid returned for his bag.

reply

I'd go so far as to say it's the most realistic of all the school shooting scenes that have been filmed. When the 911 operator is talking to one of the shooters and when the boys are talking about suicide it captures a sense of realism that's almost uncomfortable. The filmmaker deserves awarded in my book for managing to capture the chaos and darkness so well in those final moments.

What's disgusting about it? Why wouldn't you taunt the people who tortured you for probably two or three years of junior high and up to four years of high school when the shoe was on the other foot?

Why do you think happened prisoner of war camp guards after the camp was liberated by the forces of the people who were held prisoner in them?

I guarantee it was very similar to what you saw in the black and white part of the movie. That shouldn't surprise anyone.

Payback always have been and always will be a stone cold bitch.

I don't know, maybe the fact that Eric & Dylan weren't targeting the people who "tortured" them but were in fact planning to blow up the entire school. The fact that Eric & Dylan themselves were a couple of sociopaths with delusions of grandeur enacting the god-like power they wrongly felt entitled to, the same sweet innocent victims who got on the roof with a BB gun and took shots at little kids who were trick-or-treating.

Not even slightly disturbing. The acting and script writing is horrible by any standards.

Huge let down.
