Perhaps the Worst Acted Scene of the Decade

Emerald, the fat gangster that was so black he looked like the BP oil spill--comes to Elgin's house after his grandmother leaves and gives him the warning of "I want my money." I have never seen acting worse than that, from I can readily recall. It was beyond atrocious and garbage. This movie was absolute trash. It makes ATL and Drumline look like Boyz n the Hood and Menace II Society, respectively. It even makes STOMP THE YARD seem half-decent (even though that, too, was utter bile). This movie was the ugliest piece of turd with the worst--WORST--acting, dialogue, plot and sensibility imaginable. It was as if two 7th grade thugs thought up and wrote a movie and sad, "yea, thad be hottt son" but it failed like the wannabe thugs in this $#!t...

Are you serious? THAT is your defense. Guess what...

I loved The Wood, Boyz n the Hood, Menace II Society. So did a lot of people--look at the IMDB rankings. If a movie is crap, and it happens to be crap--then it doesn't mean it is racial. Guess what? Soul Plane was utter trash, too. Get over it.

You got Served is garbage. It is among the IMDB bottom 100...there is something wrong there. Even people saying the dancing was great--it was more like gymnastics than real dancing sometimes. The acting was despicable--I specifically point out the scene where Emerald comes in the black SUV and drags Elgin into the car for the "threat"--I mean I've never seen worse acting in my life, thought it was a parody. Saying You Got Served is a disgraceful attempt at a movie is playing the INTELLIGENT card, not the RACE card....

riight. how do you get homophobe? it is an example of pointing out how irrelevant your topic is--i talk about the crappy acting and plot in this 'movie' and you get all racial. this movie is trash, just like your lack of argument.

i point out--acting and even a specific scene. you keep going race. guess what...difference between GOOD BLACK MOVIES like The Wood, Boyz n the Hood, etc. and CRAP black movies like ATL. And then there is this--the biggest pile of steaming turd...1/10. IMDB hates it. The world hates it. Fake 9th grade thugs like yourself might be the only ones to enjoy it.

You didn't have to say it. I think it's understood. Keep enjoying 'movies' like You Got Served, and being racial and biased rather than actually arguing some of the plot or technical points. But I guess I couldn't expect much thinking from someone who actually enjoyed this bile. Happy Labor Day, wanksta.

OK, where's the part where you mention that this is all your OPINION! It's all opinion, NOT fact. In my opinion, the acting was fine. Some parts did seem off, but overall it seemed like these were all ordinary people in their lives.

Sure it is opinion. And while I wholly acknowledge that the masses can be asses at times, in this case they're right and it deserves its bottom 100 billing. It is a steaming pile of turd.

It's my opinion that, while it's nowhere near the greatest movie, it's certainly not the worst. I find it's a movie that I can enjoy because I like the dancing in it, and the story is halfway decent.

Yes, it is the opinion of the vast majority of people that saw this movie (and the many smart ones that chose to avoid it) that it is a steaming pile of turd.

End of story. Every "review" of a movie on this site is "opinion." You are one of those obnoxious people that has to get on "nobody is right or wrong here." Yes, we're not debating science or historical fact here, it is obviously opinion. But with certain "opinions" there is also large consensus and norms.

The Godfather is a great movie is an "opinion" but it is also a societal norm and a consensus opinion of people of all stripes.
You Got Served is a piece of garbage is equally so in an opposite manner.

@drexeltoker- out of this whole post i found the arguement between you and Paradox93 the funniest(just sayin, lol!). and yes i agree with you, the acting in that scene let alone the whole movie wasn't the greatest! :)

Na. That scene was pretty sh!tty. No lie. I'm watching it now on VH1 and it was pretty ridiculous.
