THe Origin of the Tim Robbins Hobo Guy

In the beginning we are fooled to believe he is Satan
*The Weird Ancient Accent
*The Broken Teeth
*The Broken Leg
*The hobo Clothes
*The obsession with the Pick

But he can't be. the curse said "From whence you came, you shall remain. until you are complete again". (That's why the servent of Satan had to summon him into hysmelf to make him complete- he wasn't really satan in man's body)

Tim Robbins actually played...The Blacksmith

It seems that using the Pick also grants it's possessor with immortality
Which, upon losing the pick 60 years ago to Robert Johnson would render the blacksmith volunarble to the inflictions of time. so now the Blacksmith (with the medievel accent) tries to restore the pick to him.

"Come Back With My PICK!...It belongs to me!"

reply

I didn't think they wanted us to think he was Satan.

How would a mere hobo know the power of the Pick

You're thinking too much into it.

It's because the TV broke down

reply

no way, he was def the vatican librarian ben stiller talked about

Let 'em Know!

reply

Even though ben stiller clued that papagano, the librarian, is in town...there can be no evidence that a fored librarian would seek out a pick AND giev his life's work to a rock-fan. even if it will by-chance spill out the secret to rock-treasure-hunters for him to collect the pick on

and...it's far-fetched.

reply

i NEVER got the impression he was supposed to Satan, nor do i think that was the filmmakers intention

reply

now it makes sense!
