I know it's a stupid inane thing to pick up on, but at the beginningish of the film where JB first meets KG on the beach, behind JB is a sunglasses stand. I have a bet with my boyfriend because I think it says "OKLEY" like an homage, but he thinks it just says "OAKLEYS" and they haven't changed it at all. Did anyone else notice this?

I just looked it up on the DVD. Time Index 00:07:08. It says OKLEY or O'KLEY. (I used digital zoom, 4x) If you want to, you can misinterpret the ' for a part of the A so if you don't look at it for long your mind's gonna tell you OAKLEY. There's also a little line on the left side of the K, supporting the sort-of ' for being an A... But it definitely says not OAKLEY like the original name/logo.
Looks like you won... Better look it up yourself with your friend to prove it. Or get a screenshot ;)
I know it's trivia and five years late, but just to set the record straight, the sign almost certainly bears the "Oakley" logo, shown here:
