ending

anyone else think that the film should have ended with tribute?

reply

I thought it was going to. So yeah it seemed like a natural fit.

tribute was the song they sang because they couldnt remember the song the sang to beat the devil

reply

We know, that's why we thought they were going to sing it.

On the deleted scene marked "Alternate Ending", the D perform a relatively lame attempt at a song to follow up Satan, which BTW would never have been considered better than Satan's. The fact that it's so bad, however, is part of the humor.

I figured this was meant to be the "song" within "Tribute" that we never get to hear, which humorously turns out to be lame and unmemorable.

The war is not meant to be won... it is meant to be continuous.

No, because that wouldn't make any sense. The song Tribute is a tribute to the song they play at the end of this movie because they cannot remember the song they played.
