Both movies seem to assume the audience will just love a juvenille self pitying lame-o lead character.
Was Jerome based on the younger brother in Wedding Crashers? Actually no, that guy had a lot more going for him, including better art.
I was waiting for the kid to grow up, even a little, but he just got worse. Oh poor little me I've got angst, why don't you love me?

this movie was pretty funny and with a surprise twist for a comedy.

This is funny, because I thought both this movie and FSM were hilarious.
I didn't love the main character in either one, but the things that happen to them throughout the story are what made it entertaining for me.
And the writing, obvs.

Haven't seen this yet but I cannot understand how anybody can consider Jason Segal to be what you described he might just save the Apatow crowd from getting worse.
shareForgetting Sarah Marshall was good. This is nothing like that movie I wouldn't really class Art School Confidential as a comedy It was an alright film though.
