Jerome's approach to art.
It took me a couple viewings to finally realize that Jerome's art was in a way substandard to some of that of his classmate's.
He was trying too hard to impress, every single time. That's not art purity, that's canned depiction.
Sure it wasn't obvious with his nude, but he would keep aping other ppl's styles to try & fit in. Doesn't work.
