That was when I worked as a cop. I had a foot post that had a railroad station as part of my area. When I worked the 4 to midnight shift I could usually spot the dancers getting off the train. I usually said yellow and helped them find a taxi and find out which bar they were working in. When I finished at midnight I changed out of my uniform and drove over to the bar. They usually (probably always) recognized me as the cop they meant and felt I could be trusted. I figured if they came in on a train they would need a ride home and more often than not they would accept my offer to drive them home.
