Just a joke but if you wanna be literal it says true underdog story. Not true story. This simply meansvtgatvthey were truly underdogs. True underdogs. A story about truly underdog odds ;)
shareAs someone said, the wording it a 'true underdog' story. Although it isn't a true underdog story. The original ending was since it had the good guys loose. Underdogs lose most of the time. It's why they're underdogs. But in a rare case I agree with the change because the cast did too good a job. The good guys were too lovable, Stiller too evil. If they had done it that way the movie would have been more 'true' and less enjoyable.

That is very wrong. In a head-to-head match, there is a favorite and an underdog, no matter how much they win or lose. They were the underdog in every match. In the final match GloboGym were the favorites. Average Joe's Gym were a 50 - 1 underdog, which is why LaFleur won $5 mil.
