Did anyone else think initially (spoilers)

That when Mi-do first met Dae-su Oh and said (along the lines of) 'have we met before?' this took something away from the ending?

I couldn't help but think 'it's his daughter' which while the thought was 'dampened' by the various events - effectively watering down the idea, firstly 'she was brought up in another country' and then there was the suspicion that she was involved in some way - I couldn't help but have that thought still at the back of my mind when the twist was revealed which took some of the edge off.

This was a good film but I feel that line was not really needed.

Another minor issue I had with the film was the hallway fight scene leading onto the elevator bit. Totally unbelievable - I mean, I get the whole idea that vengeance can drive a man to 'over-perform' but whilst the initial fight scene (where he took the cigarette) was on the edge of believable the latter scene just made me think the whole film might be one big hypnosis (think inception).

Anyway, as I said, good film and looking forward to getting the other 2 films and watching!
