Total rip off from Angel Heart(1987)

Ok,I love Olboy. But let's face it. This movie is total shameless copy of much better,original Angel Heart.

Here's some important points:
Main character was evil turning good (in angel heart after war, in oldboy after 15 years solitary)
Booth movies have incest relationship(setup)father-daughter
In booth movies we have almost only three characters(others are not really important)
Revenge is main motiv of villain
Booth movies have identical plot twists

your comments don't support your claim that It was a blatant rip off. I think there are enough differences that It wasn't a rip off or copy attempt at all.

That's like saying that Lawrence of Arabia, is a total rip off, of Citizen Kane, just because both stories open with a flash forward, when the rest of the story is completely different.

You honed in on one plot element and call the whole story a rip off just because of one element.

"Oldboy" is basically Angel Heart with Asians.

It has similarities with Count Monte Christo too.
