SPOILER - carvings? pages? grave?

When Amy comes to see Mort, she finds everything in chaos and "SHOOTER" carved in dozens of places in the cabin. Then when the sheriff comes, everything looks normal, exactly like it had been earlier, no carvings anywhere. Are we supposed to think all evidences of the carving have been sanded off or the wood replaced or something?
When did Mort cut out the pages from the magazine? He gets a sealed UPS pkg. sent from NYC by his hired bodyguard, he opens the seal, flips open the magazine, and finds the pages of his story have all been cut out. How did this supposedly happen?
Mort had told the sheriff the whole narrative of what was going on, including the story that was in question. Ted knows that Amy has gone to the cabin. Amy disappears. The sheriff says that eventually they will find the bodies. Why is that any kind of a challenge in Amy's case? It's all there in the Secret Window story. Anyway, even without the story, wouldn't a freshly dug grave be fairly apparent next to the house?

I can't answer all your questions, but regarding the ups package...

It is to be assumed Mort blacked out as Shooter and opened the package after picking it up, then later as he (Mort) goes to open it, he finds it already open with no memory of opening it. Remember when Amy comes the pages are blowing around the driveway still. Just as Mort doesn't remember doing things as Shooter throughout the film, same goes with the magazine.
