I just love this movie. Hadn't seen it since it came out in 2004. But saw it again a couple of days ago. Wonderful masterpiece, where everything is just great.
The acting, the story, the suspense. Everything.

So what other movies can you recommend if you like this movie?

I really want to see more movies like this. And Depp should really do more thrillers. He did "Nick of time" in 1995. Also a wonderful masterpiece of a thriller.

I can think of "Hide and seek" (2005).
But what more movies do we have?

most definitely the mechanist w christian bale. similar parallels also bale was at his best imo in that

Yeah "the machinist" is a good movie. In my opinion not near the greatness of "Secret window" thou. But surely machinist also stands out.

excellent underrated movie! i first saw it on hbo about a year after it came out. but lately its been coming on amc that is if it comes on

Yes, "Hard candy" is exellent. Ellen Pagie's best performance. Just as well for Patrick Wilson. Great movie.

Angel heart? How is that comparable with Secret Window? Angel Heart i saw one back in the early 90's. It was unreal and lousy as i recall. No comparisment with secret window what so ever.

I think you need to watch it again then. Angel Heart is outstanding. Mickey Rourke was borderline oscar-worthy.
It's very similar in several aspects. Both show the mental and emotional decline and breakdown of the protagonist. Both have a similar disconnect as to what is and what is not real.
Angel Heart was imo a little better. I loved the atmosphere, the setting, the music, etc.
Both are a little predictable for some people but I really liked both films a lot.
Again, imo.
