The score was nominated for Grammy and Golden Globe awards. I thought it was one of the best things about the movie.

And the period music was an act that needs more revival-
The Andrews Sister (during the opening)"Oh Johnny Oh Johnny Oh"!

(Set in 1939)

But this is an ageless, magic fantasy that our young hero/heroies escape to, so no songs are needed.

Yes that song was a nice touch. I think that was the scene when they were all playing in the house before they went to Narnia.
