The hell does this all have to do with being a top model? We're on episode 3 or 4, can't really remember, and we've only done 2 or 3 actual photoshoots and NO runway walk challenges. Are they trying to create the next Kendall Jenner or something? Really not liking this formula and the panel. Ashley is the only one whose opinion really matters since she's a model but she's not giving great critiques.

but her critiques are lacking.
The other judge doesn't even know how to
apply a lacefront wig & neither do his minions

Yea, I think it feels very arbitrary and impractical. There are people that have tons of followers, for one reason or another, but no real substance. Social media stars and made and forgotten overnight.

I agree whole-heartedly. I had hope that this cycle would go back to the basics of what made this show so compelling during the earlier seasons. I love unique photo shoots and thoughtful panel critiques. I feel like both of these are seriously lacking this cycle. The photo shoots have been pretty lame so far, especially this last one (the social media 'story'), which was just plain awful. Worse yet is the critiques at panel. I got so tired of Tyra and Kelly and crew in the past few seasons, but at least they shared specific opinions about each photo. I don't think I've heard anything from this group aside from, "I love it" or "I don't like it" or something equally as vague. And some of the photos they've hyped would have been ripped to shreds in seasons past.
I really hope they can tone down the emphasis on the social media aspect of the show and get back to what made the show fun.
I'm glad to know it's not just me. I was thinking I'm just getting too old for it. I don't understand why krislian won this week when one of her three photos was just shoes. What does that have to do with being a model? Taking a pic on your phone of shoes. Smh.
shareI feel like I probably AM getting too old for this *beep* But I also feel like the focus on social media is one of the things that made the last few cycles so annoying...so the fact that they've doubled down on it with this cycle is disappointing. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't follow any of these chicks on social media, especially not the few that they've decided to focus on (Krislian, Courtney, Tash, Cody, Binta) I'm just saying, if they wanted to turn this girl into a celebutante with millions of followers, they should've cast some girls with decent personalities because so far this group is about as interesting as watching paint dry.
