Cherish

I will say she sounded bitter over her exit and i loved her red hair makeover. She seemed to have a bad attitude.

reply

Yeah, made me happy she was eliminated

reply

I love her attitude. It's so contrived that every contestant should cry their way home as if the show is the only platform to become a successful model.

reply

While I agree it's not the only platform, she signed up for it knowing that makeovers are part of the show, and that being critiqued is part of the show, So, her attitude seemed really unnecessary when she knew what she was signing up for. Also, she looked 100x better after her makeover, but her picture still sucked.

reply

I'm sorry that I don't know a girl isn't allowed to be upset when she gets a makeover she feels really uncomfortable. She did sign up for attending the show but she certainly didn't sign up for that makeover. Whether her makeover made her look better is debatable, which is not this thread about.

reply

I agree it's ok to get upset.

But honestly this is Cycle 23. If I tried out I would have to be sure I was willing to either be dykish and bald or have my hair some wacky color. It's one of the first things I would think of when trying out. As ridiculous as that sounds.

The focus should be on the modelling when trying out but every cycle has hair panic. So it's shouldn't be hard not to think about what they are going to do and be prepared for it. She kind of acted like she had no idea this could happen.

reply

Going to have to agree with Ivy here. It's been 23 seasons for crying out loud.

She should know exactly where she's walking into. Same with the girls who are uncomfortable with nude shots.

I mean it's fine not wanting to do it, but don't go on the show if that's your thing?

Is she allowed to be upset? Absolutely. We're also allowed to mock her for it.

reply

Actually, she did sign up for that makeover, anyone knows that if you sign up for Top Model 99.9% chance you're going to get a makeover of some kind.

reply

Right. You're going to get a makeover not that makeover. Does it ever occur to you why they conveniently have to choose that makeover which is exact the same thing got her taunted in her early ages? Reality tvs have taken advantage of the contestants since the contract was signed and there's nearly nothing room left to be negotiated with. It's an actual form of bullying while you don't even realize it. You people are so righteously "mocking" a girl whining about her makeover after she went through the deal against her will anyway. Do you honestly think they decided to shave all the girls bald and everyone would just jump up and down tearing up with joy because of "the contract"? How can people being so insensitive and heartless is beyond me. Maybe pepople like this are all bald as Binta.

Honestly, you don't even have to dye Cherish's hair to make her look like that. Just put a fiery red wig on her and the trick is done. Her original hair has multiple colors and is unique. They only dyed her hair without doing anything else and for what? For photoshooting pics of black and white. 

reply

When she chose to be on the show, do you really think she had a choice between A makeover or THAT makeover?????

reply

You don't get to choose your makeover, that's the point. When, you sign up, you sign up knowing you're going to get a makeover of some kind that they assign you. If your hair means that much to you, then simple solution is don't sign up for the show, and don't pursue being a model, because you look how they want you to.

reply

What's your problem? dude
You speaks as if Cherish was totally unaware of she's gonna get a makeover and whatever the makeovers they give the girls are always perfect, which we all know it's not the truth here. Did I or did I not say she went through the deal against her will anyway? I've tried to explain where she came from by addressing the complication of the matter while you've kept stubbornly bashing her attitude from the get go because you believe "signing up for" whatever means forfeiting every right and the opinion/the voice as well. Should I remind you Cherish wasn't the only one having problems with the assigned makeover?

Your saying models having certain boundaries shouldn't pursue modeling isn't reflective of the reality. Even models unwilling to pose nude can work in the industry. As for attending the show, we all know the reason why most of girls being in the competiton for besides the slight chance of getting the title and the prize. So, with that mindset, there will always have girls complaining about their makeover. If you can't deal with it, you have to quit the show.

reply

Chris, I think you are complaining just to complain. Everyone is dealing fine with Cherish complaining, they just said it's stupid and she should have known better and jeez it's just hair quit acting like virgin hair is so rare and superior. No one here is "unable to deal" with that. You are acting like anyone who disagrees with someone on this show is fainting with shock. I think you are the only one who needs to calm down.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

reply

Me calming down? Biased much? 
You should go check my original post in this thread that I was the only one that didn't "complain" about a girl crying over her makeover and her attitude. You are actiing like as if you've never watched this show before, which is laughable. Whatever is stupid to you is understandable to me and I'm not the one trying to force opinions on the others. Obviously, not only posters here can't deal with contestants' reactions but also different opinions and so desperately want to bully another into one thought. Guess what, NOT HAPPENING!

BTW
I'm done with the overwhelming negativity and stupid opinions nazis here. Such a fun show with stick-up-in-the-a$$ viewers. Shame.

reply

I agree with you lee. When you sign up to be on the show you know they're going to give you a damn makeover and I'm sure they know enough by now to realize it could easily be something they don't like. If I was on the show I wouldn't give a damn what they did. I'd be glad I even made it that far. I'd know whatever they did, they had a good reason for doing it. I'm not saying she didn't have a right to feel the way she did, but to go on about it the way she did was stupid.

reply

Only platform or not, being thankful and humble when you're still trying to make a name for yourself goes a long way.

Take Bobby from season four of Hell's Kitchen for example. He was a pompous ass the first episode. Dubbing himself 'the Black Gordon Ramsay' but he ended up being really nice and had one of the most humble exits I'd ever seen on that show. Really made me like him.

I liked her attitude even though she was a bit annoying. I felt for her and her virgin hair, but she should have known that she would get a makeover!!

She should have stayed over Krislian, who had a boring personality, has not improved, had a horrible shoot last week, and did not take critique well.

reply

I get why she was angry. I do feel like they kind of did her dirty.
