6 of the models are 25 or older.
Seems to be pretty late to get into the game.
shareBut many of them look younger than their ages.
shareAnd most of them have been working regionally, at least that's what I gather.
shareWow I am surprised. I never would've thought that. Well 80 is the new 60 so people are looking younger these days. Thankfully.
shareThink back to cycle 6 Mollie Sue. She became very successful and she was 25 when she was on.
shareShe's an exception but that's not common.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.
You don't have to be young to be successful.
shareIn modeling, yeah you almost always do. You'd have to be above and beyond amazing for anyone to consider you over 25, but if you start at 18 the bar is much lower.

It depends if you want that super model status. I know several models over the age of 25. While they aren't super models they are working models. That is what they do for a living. And teens can't sell everything. If you walk into some agencies, they have different categories including for ages.
shareWell sure someone has to pose for catalog photos for AARP and Ann Taylor and Dress Barn or other stores no one considers chic. So what? This show isn't trying to aim for the lowest bar for the most pathetic models though, so you still remain without a point.

No, I don't. I used to work in this industry, so I DO know what I'm talking about. And I've never known anybody that modeled for AARP or Dress Barn, so you are without a point! Get this straight that people don't have to be young to work in this industry! It's the truth!
share25 year olds for Aarp? Are you being sarcastic or are you just really youn yourself?
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it -RD
Half of the models this cycle already model but they just aren't big. They aren't new and just getting into the game as you say. And most very successful models don't start off at the top.

nwes flash: women can sill be sexy, desirable and successful even if they're over the age of 25
#cloneclub /i am the topic closer, the real topic closer//if you post after me a faerie gets cookies
Wow you sure missed the point. Fashion models aren't even usually that sexy but they ARE almost always young. So the point is: if the show wants to be successful in the avenue it's claiming, then young is better than old.

There are quite a models who've reached success only after the age of 25! Think of Aymeline Valade, Marie Piovesan, Saskia de Brauw, Kati Nescher, Amanda Murphy, Iris Strubegger. None of them had their big break til after the age of 25.
