What are some things you miss from the old version of ANTM?

Mine are, in no particular order and by no means a complete list:

- The girls screaming Tyra Mail (and when Tyra Mail was a card, not the tv screen).
- The "na-na-na-na wanna be on top?" opening theme.
- The fade out from the group shot after a contestant was eliminated.
- Tyra's "I have X photos in my hands. These photos represent the girls who are still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model" speech.
- The girls actually receiving their photos during elimination. (imo the lack of this happening in the current iteration, and the girls being unable to build their portfolios, really shows that it's not about modeling anymore.)
- The music that played when the winner was announced (you know the song I'm talking about). This was done away with in the later seasons of old Top Model and it made me sad.
- The wacky editing that happened sometimes, like the "that's cool, that's cool" or "actually" counter that appeared on screen in seasons 8 and 4, respectively.
- MISS J!!!

asdfg987 I agree and catty as hell! That lacefront he's wearing was quite detectable, which defeats
the entire purpose of wearing it, so he slaps hats on because he's an unskilled messy queen. 

If I recall they were given their photos at the first elimination ( it's been a while since I saw the Premier, and I deleted my recording, so correct me if I'm wrong)

The fade out from the group shot and the girls receiving their photos definitely.

I thought the same about the portfolio issue and I just figured they'd give them prints when the time came. But the girls having a tangible photo in their hands felt a lot more special.

I agree with Hippiechick, these judges do not seem to know what they are judging, these have been the worst pictures of any season.

Pretty much everything. It is more what did I not like and don't miss and that's pretty much only:

Tyra's silly booty tooch and pot ledom
The transition to Real World type cycles

Other than that I loved everything plus what you mentioned.

I mostly miss the Jays and Nigel even though Mr J could be unfair sometimes. I do miss Tyra but the normal Tyra. And she created it so I will always love her.

I agree with most of these.

I think a good point about them actually being given their photos. I've noticed that this cycle their names are called and they just walk to the side but aren't given a photo, which I imagine before must have been nice for the contestants to hold.
Also I miss before the fan voting/social media/scoring aspect began in Cycle 19 when it was just Tyra announcing who stayed rather than the screen to the side.

I agree about Ms J. I think he was a big a part of ANTM!

I sort of miss the earlier judging challenges. And guest judges. Though I think the most recent episode in Cycle 23 was probably the first time they've had a guest judge for a long time.
