Overall, I would actually put Fatima ahead of Leila in terms of high fashion success.

reply

Oh yeah, I forgot that Fatima got a Ralph Lauren campaign a few years ago.

reply

I believe also booked Balenciaga.

And others.

As soon as I saw Fatima (ok after the makeover), I knew she'd make it big. I kept looking at her thinking, "are the judges blind?". Her face is nothing short of amazing and unlike anything they've ever had on the show. They sure didn't appreciate her.

reply

I agree. Fatima had the best face and body for high fashion of any of the ANTM girls. I knew she'd make it big. I figured Leila would be a star as well after the show was done. I'm surprised Jane Randall, MIkaela Schipani, Jaslene Gonzalez, Sophie Summer, and Brittani Kline didn't get bigger though. They had killer bodies.

Elise (Cycle 1) is likely the most successful winner. She was nearly a household name in Asia.

reply

Elyse would not be concidered as successful as girls like Fatima. Asia is concidered less competitive than the other markets, and girls are usaully sent there to make money through catalogues, which was where Elyse made most of her money.

reply

Leila is by far the most successful. I mean she's the only one working alongside A-list models right now and booking Dior haute couture. None of the other ANTM girls are doing that. So it's a fact that she's the most successful

reply

Fatima did.

And what you said isn't a fact. It's an opinion. Learn the difference

reply

Fatima is high end commercial. That's where she gets her work. Not in high fashion.

Learn the difference between high end commercial and high fashion

reply

Leila is by far the most successful in high fashion. Her new campaign was just released yesterday shot by none other than the god of high fashion photography Steven Meisel!

reply

More than Fatima? Hmm. You sure?

Leila had booked some impressive gigs, but in terms of consistency in high fashion, Fatima beats her.

reply

Fatima has had much more time and her only campaign from what I remember was the Herve Leger.
Leila has Givenchy, Dolce and Gabbana, Herve Leger, Costume National and now ZARA to name a few

reply

Maybe shake that memory a bit more.

So, by far isn't really an accurate statement.

reply

Well still, Leila is the most successful in high fashion. lol

reply

Hmm. Depends on your definition. I don't personally think so.

reply

If you compare Fatima and Leila's high fashion work it's really no contest.
From runway shows, editorials and campaigns Leila has more than Fatima. What makes you say Fatima is more successful? Just curious.

reply

No, she doesn't.

Leila has booked good, but less.

Runway shows? No. Leila has not booked more.

Editorials- I'll give you that one.

Campaigns- Leila had booked only 2 major campaigns.

Plus, you're confusing couture with high fashion. High fashion is a very broad term.

Technically, Ralph Lauren and Hermes are high fashion.

In fact, those two campaigns in the OP's point are old campaigns.

Also, if we're on the subject of Steven Meisel, he photographed Toccara. That's not saying much.

Leila is still very obscure, and little to no people know her name. Fatima is instantly more recognizable in campaigns and runway .

Imo, I don't see where Leila is the most successful. Expecially given that she's completely unrecognizable in those campaigns as well.

Again, this is my opinion. I don't expect you to agree with it.

Leila's Givenchy and Dolce and Gabbana campaigns are from less than a year ago. Since S/S 2016 Leila has been steadily rising in the industry. I love Fatima, too, but she hasn't booked a major campaign since Ralph Lauren a few years ago. I would love to see her make a high fashion comeback and she totally could. I'd love to see her in a Valentino or Bottega Veneta ad. I would say that Ebonee is the other one who is increasingly rising besides Sora and Leila. She got Calvin Klein along with Saskia de Brauw this spring so that's a major game changer. I think overall Sora is probably the most successful at this point in time. She's the current muse (alongside models like Liya Kebede, Jean Campbell, and Freja Beha Erichson) of major high fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière

reply

I think I was literally drunk. So you may be right.

But in terms of overall success, Fatima still trumps Leila.

I am happy Ebonee is doing well. Always thought she was underrated.

reply

What has Laura been up to? What about Jourdan?

reply

I haven't heard of anything front Laura and last I heard about Jourdan, she went bankrupt :/

I find it interesting that none of the actual winners end up doing all that well off afterwards, it's always the girls who came in third who end up becoming successful.

Honestly, I'm sure it has something to do with the contract you're put under once you win. I feel like American Idol and some other competition shows have issues like that where they're attached to the ANTM brand in a way the other finalists aren't and it drags them down.

Personally I think Leila is more well-known (I recognized her more quickly) but I do think Fatima is exquisitely beautiful and I'm going to look into what's she's been up to lately.
