Cherish was right ..

Her hair looked too fake. They could've done something minimal. That hot red color was ridiculous on her and it didn't work in her photographs. I believe some of the other girls have more of what it takes HOWEVER I do feel it's the judges fault for how her look turned out. She shouldn't have been eliminated for something out of her control.

On a different note: she didn't have a winner attitude.

Her hair looked better with the makeover. It made her features pop more. She was wrong.

It's not the judges fault for anything.

As a hairstylist,I can tell you that copper red she got was an improvement.

She was eliminated for a bad photo. And deservedly so. How is that the judges fault? She was a crap model. Stop making excuses for her.

reply

Agreed. Her hair before was dull as dishwater.

It didn't work in her photographs? You mean...the one in black and white before she was eliminated? And she obviously wasn't eliminated for something beyond her control, i.e. her hair color. It's because her face and body language wasn't great in the photo. So next time try to NOT make things up to support your baseless opinion.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

I do think it's cruddy that they dyed her hair and then eliminated her.
I think they didn't listen to her. She had a point about her hair. They should have gone closer to her natural color. There was a way to brighten it up without making it so dark.

reply

Her hair looked better after, and she's not the expert. It's not up to her what color she gets.

She should stay in the competition just because she got her hair colored? I don't get that.

reply

It's not their job to listen to her. It's her job to listen to them. But I would bet good money if she was like "ohh well it's fine I have other things to focus on" she wouldn't have been eliminated. But the drama of giving her a makeover she hated then eliminating her right after was too good to pass up.

Yeah, for the most part the show has a good track record when it comes to makeovers, but there certainly have been a few train wrecks along the way where it just makes you shout at the screen "What the hell are they thinking?!?"

And Tyra's (rather disturbing) obsession with pixie cuts needs to stop. Every time a girl has been given a pixie cut it has ended in disaster. It hasn't worked in over 23 cycles. Just let the pixie cut die already.

reply

Cherish 's makeover was amazing. It was hardly a trainwreck.

reply

I thought Cherish's makeover was a HUGE improvement, it actually made me remember her as a character.

Gotta love how confident she was during the music video, "I'm baaaack b!tches!" and "I could have sworn I heard someone say 'Beyonce'" when she was doing a god-awful job dancing. THAT is why she was eliminated, the cognitive dissonance of her perception of her abilities vs what they actual are when documented.

I agree though that the pixie cuts rarely end up looking good, I feel like they do it now just to ruin some girl's life and create drama and not because it will actually make them look better as a model.

yes, they absolutely do it for the drama. Its unfortunate that the show kind of wasted away into a husk of its former self...Everything in the latter seasons just feels so cheap and contrived.

reply

If you honestly feel red hair ( that actually worked on her) would ruin some girls life, I suggest you prioritize.

reply

They were talking about the Pixie cuts not the red

reply

Well a bad haircut shouldn't ruin anyone's life and if it does, that's on them. Pixie cuts can work for some looks like Agyness Deyn, but yeah on this show I think it's just to make girls cry.

I despise the Pixie cut.

Those who don't believe in magic will never find it -RD
