Courtney's Edit

Courtney's edit makes me feel like I'm crazy. They're always trying to portray her as whiny and difficult but for me in each argument she's the one who comes out looking better.

For the most part I find her rational and the other person is the one flipping out screaming.

They call her whiny but if you have a pole in your spine of course you're going to be more limited.

Every episode seems to have something where it feels like they're trying to direct you to dislike Courtney but I just don't. I find myself disliking the person arguing with her.

I agree with you, except the ice cream thing LOL. I HATE it when someone eats food I bought specifically for myself. In the famous words of Joey Tribiani, "JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!!!"

reply

She's an instigator, but she remains calm, which makss her look innocent. She isn't.

reply

Crazygreen nails it: Courtney knows how to push a person's buttons until they slowly lose their mind, then act really calm like she did nothing to instigate the behavior.

I did feel a bit bad for her during the challenge because it was one of the few times she just wanted to help and Tatiana was being rather controlling, but the ice cream incident is a good example where Courtney calls Tatiana an *beep* b****" because she got mad that Courtney ate her ice cream? That's harsh to say when you ate someone's food.

It has nothing to do with the editing so much as the feedback and issues brought up by almost every other girl in the competition. They actually spend all day, every day with this person and if you've gotten into fights with nearly every girl (and some of the judges) that's not a good sign personality-wise.

Most of the girls talked badly about Courtney in their exit interview. You would have thought it would be Binta.

reply

I think Justine even mentioned Courtney, and that would have been week one.

reply

Yeah, she did. She said that they knew each other before. From what I gathered, she didn't care for Courtney.

reply

You look like a cross between Mame and Raelia. I didn't even know you were female, let alone black. 😂

reply

I don't look like either one of them, but thanks. They were attractive models. Don't know if you meant that as a compliment or insult. I need to change my username into something more girly. As for being black, you saw my comment about what Binta said to Giah and Tatiana. I mentioned that I was black.

reply

Why would that be an insult?

reply

It's not to me, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because I think that they are pretty doesn't mean that you do too. I don't look like them, but I'll take it. People also tell me that I look like Keisha Knight Pulliam. I don't see that either, but I'll take it. At least people are comparing me to attractive people.

reply

I feel like they respected Binta. It's like if you are a bitch it's fine but if you are whiny or victimish they attack.

Like the animal world pecking order. The weakest is prayed upon because they have to eliminate them. Or something like that.

Same for me. Even if she was that annoying (which she very well could be) their reactions are just unpleasant and annoying.

reply

Yeah, but that was from Courtney driving them to the brink of madness. Anyone would react that way. I don't see the logic in siding with a girl every other girl in the house had an issue with.

reply

I don't particularly like her personality. She does play victim and is too whiny. Like the episode where she fell down the stairs. Come on girl, get up. And then she said she didn't take the first aid kit out even though obviously someone brought it for her, so she should have cleaned up without question. She's just annoying and doesn't like to be told anything. But...she's not that bad compared to other girls in the past. I think they are playing up anything in the edits, because all the girls aren't bad. Binta had a harsh personality, but it was about cleaning the bathroom. I think the girls are decent and there wasn't a lot of fighting. Courtney could potentially look the worst, because her attitude toward any critique is that she's the one being wronged. She could squash things so easily, "I'm sorry I ate your ice-cream. I told you 3 days ago that I did, and I am sorry that you couldn't express that you were upset about it then. If you would like, I can buy you more ice-cream." But because she thinks she's being wronged, she gets angry. That is a very aggravating personality to deal with in terms of a roommate and friend. I feel like in the photoshoots, other than making excuses for herself, she seems genuinely interested and excited for each challenge or shoot. I think Drew doesn't give a lot of good direction for any of the girls, like when Justine couldn't get a good photo in the first week. Or like when CoryAnne didn't have strong legs in the Beyonce shoot. Like this dude maybe needs to give a little more direction that that. So yeah, I can imagine it's hard for the girls to get what he wants if they don't automatically do well on the photoshoot right away. That's why it's so weird when he's so upset with her.
