This movie seems kind of like the director didn't know which ending to go with, so he decided to use them all.
That being said, it was an enjoyable ride, and articulates well the idea that everything is illusion, you have no idea what's going to happpen, someone you trust implicitly might shoot you in the back of the head, you might get hit by a bus, or Matt Dillon might decide to give you four hundred and some thousand dollars on a lark. safety, security, and stability are mirages.
A lot of skill and insight broght to bear on not much of a story. I'll be watching the writer/director's future work for sure though.
