I just saw this film. When he robs the corpses, why does he beat them up so aggressively before he takes their things?

It looks like he was getting the zippers open on the body bags.

I just love Steve Zahn. He almost always improv's his character. I have only seen this once so far, but I just figured, #1 he was drunk and wanted to make sure they were dead (lol) after he stole from them, or #2 when he got the jewelry off the bodies, he sometimes replaced the jewelry with some cheaper stuff he had. So he shook the bodies in the bags to splash blood and stuff around to ruin fingerprints and get blood on the new jewelry.

A little long, but with watching it only once so far, thoes are the only 2 reasons I can think of as to why he did that. But you are not the only one who has asked that question. I thought Steve Zahn was hillarious in this movie (as always)
