The movie seem to get better an hour in,but completely spoiled by the fact you could not hear the dialogue over the loud annoying music. The music hardly ever fitted with what was happening. We had to turn the volume up to hear what they were saying over the music. Some clever twists and turns...but just to many in the end.
go back to the retirement home, oldtimer. i have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. the music was too loud? jeez you've got problems if that is what you think constitutes for an actual complaint.
We should show them who the real losers are. Them. Them are the real losers.
I agree with the original poster. Most of the music didn't fit in the scenes at all. I liked the movie, the music just wasn't selected well. And I'm not some "oldtimer" in case you're going to make another smartass comment like that.
the music was amazing because it was so out of place. the first time i watched the movie, i was like wtf, that really doesn't fit in because this is a very serious part. but then when you go back and watch it another time or three (like me) you will see that the director is being smarmy, because usually when they play that really loud rock music it is when the audience is being tricked by a scene. double meanings and such, old man river.
We should show them who the real losers are. Them. Them are the real losers.
I must disagree with all of you. The music of the movie was good. It showed a certain emotion . Most of the music you heard was some sort of raw guitar sound. I think this helped in giving the movie extra depth . It might not have a lot but I think the music gave the movie, well I think the best way to put it, a "tough guy" look. Also I think that the director (or anyone else) had a certain idea set with the music. I don't what. When making a movie everything plays a role, not just what you see but also what you hear. As last I would like to say that it is pretty lame of us all to be discussing a movie over internet. But that’s just me…
I was too busy watching Steve Zahn and the other characters to even notice any horribly loud music. I am going to watch it again and see if I notice the music this time around.
My Green Mile Man Brutal, (David Morse), I love 'that thing you do'!!
