Where did they take the husband in the end?

When they drive him away after taking him out of handcuffs and put him in the car where did he go? and wy did he not go to jail?

I'm guessing they took him back to that facility where all those people were that were brainwashed. He was now just another link in the 'experiment' chain.

How did you know he wasn't taken to jail..? The last scene shows him being placed in a car with police.

Actually the scene shows him being unhandcuffed and placed in the black car that the facility owns so he definitely was not arrested.

how is it that as he is led into the car, you see there is no snow outside, yet as the other couple is given $1M, there is a ton of snow outside... i.e. it must be very far away, yet the time between visiting the two houses can't have been more than 30mins, probably 15mins...

He went to have his memory erased not to jail. Remember they took him out of handcuffs and put in the blavck creepy car and he was assured him and his son would be taken care of.
