You're all hypocrites

If this film was made by Kubrick or Polanski, you'd praise it to the *beep*. Stop embarrassing yourselves with a fake snobism.

reply

bs.

reply

is that all what you got?

reply

yup and you know it's true. most people, inlcuding me, would not have any sympathies for this disaster, even if it was directed by a close relative.

"laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone." - Dae-su Oh

reply

What the hell does "praise it to the beep" mean? What word is supposed to be replaced there that you couldn't just type?

For the record, this assertion of yours contains no argument. You assume everyone's position for them and then call it insincere. This is completely vacuous.

I liked Chinatown and The Shining. I didn't like Bitter Moon or Eyes Wide Shut. Your statement is nonsense. Films are judged on their content. The content of this film, like your post, was sorely lacking.

-There is no such word as "alot."

reply

If it had been made by either of them, it might have been a better film. As it is, it's an absolute mess.

reply

If Kubrick made it, it wouldn't have made any sense. When I watched "2001" I didn't know what the hell was going on. Same with Donny Darko.

This movie doesn't leave any questions unanswered, perhaps some people don't like that. But then again, there are other people on this board that didn't get enough explanation and are feeling frustrated... I guess you cannot please everybody.

reply

If you didnt understand 2001 and Donnie dafko, you probably have a very limited filmtaste. I guess every movie needs to have an explaination and a closed ending because it would be too complicated for you otherwise. Thats called being creatively limited

reply

only kubrick make master pieces, polansky and this guy do interesting stuff sometimes.

i mostly will not be able to answer your reply, since marissa mayer hacked my email, no notification

reply

While Kubrick did indeed make great films not everyone believes they are masterpieces. Some aspects of his films are arguably self-indulgent and often pretentious.

reply

What exactly about any of Kubrick's movies do you find pretentious? They have alot of detail and make you think instead of having everything spelled out for you while you sit there with a slack jawed gaze. It's fine if people don't like all his movies but pretentious is something they are not. How many other movies do you post about that you didn't pay attention to calling them pretentious which is such a weak argument to begin with without even an example.

reply

Lol AMEN!
