And Diaz could have had her surgery to correct her foot. This is only one of many flaws in the story line. Should have been a good movie but it was full of such obvious nonsense.

My thought exactly! And I suppose No way he'd sell his Corvette to pay for it.

That's not really a flaw..it was the early 70s..he works off the clock to develop a prosthetic to help her walk which was actually on par with medical tech for the time. Half her foot was missing how would surgery have helped? Out of all the things in the movie that is the one you think to analyze..
