why is david leaving?

I've heard that David Wells is leaving "Most Haunted", and this is my favorite paranormal show! Does anyone know why? That's sad because I like him MUCH better than Derek Acorah, who seemed to get "possessed" or "taken over" constantly on MH. Funny, I've never seen David get "possessed", not once. And he seems to be a lot more genuine than Derek, like in the MH Live Eastern State Penetentiary episode where he found that John killed James (or was it the other way around?) and the historian Leslie said that what David had found out wasn't published anywhere at the time when MHL ESP's live airing. I could tell that he was more down-to-earth also by what he what he would say and how he would say it. To me Derek just seemed to be the all "smoke and mirrors" type, acting over the top and bizarre, even for "possessions"! Does anyone know the name of the medium who'll replace him? I read somewhere on another post that it was a woman with "wild hair" or something like that. I don't think MH will be as good without David. :-( Thanks to anyone who can answer my questions. :-)

glad he is leaving he is boring, really boring. I can't stand listening to him frankly. All we need to do now is get rid of smarmy old paul ross and it'll be good again!

I dunno why he is leaving but I imagine it is something to do with the fact that no one ever seemed to respect his opinion. I mean he kept trying to keep the team safe by doing that protection thing he did and then Carl and Stuart kept doing stupid things to put themselves in danger. I bet it got pretty annoying for him lol. I watched the first episode of the new series last night and I actually thought it was pretty explosive. I hope they keep that Johnny woman on the show she was really good :D

I heard David Wells is being replaced by Johnnie Fiori (spelling?). She's good, but I would have loved it if David stayed as well. He's good. And serious about his 'job'. Derek is a fake. He's such an idiot, it's not even funny anymore. The nutter.

Derek is an idiot. I can't stand watching him on Most Haunted, I always skip watch he says and go straight to the night investigation (I watch 'em on DVD).

I love David, real, serious and a nice guy.

I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you...stranger.

Dito all that, JupiterStorm. I record them from Living2/Livingit (or whatever they call it now) and I get up and make tea when Derek comes on, and I'm back with a warm cuppa by the time David is on. I like David, he seems like the kind of man who would give you a hug when you are sad. ^_^
