I've just started to watch the recent season and as an avid viewer, I'm really p***** off that David Wells has gone and that there's no mention of his whereabouts. Most of all, the new mediums, especially Johnnie, are awful. I'm well aware that this is an entertainment programme and to no avail, much is probably faked...however, the team rapport has well and truly gone and just isn't the same.
Anyone agree? Disagree?
It's so strange, there was a listing of the upcoming Most Haunted Season 10 episodes on the web before they were broadcasted and a bunch of them listed David Wells as the medium, so I was under the impression he left the show midway through season 10 but everybody keeps saying he's nowhere to be seen in any of the episodes. So disappointing, by far the best medium.

I agree though, some of the "mediums" they had on there were bad, fraudulent I guess, David Wells is the only one I liked.

However, if he is doing what he wants to do, then who are we to say he shouldn't?
Reading between the lines, it seems as though he was getting a bit peed off with Karl an Stuart taking the Mick out of his religious beliefs, not taking psychic protection while doing the shows and generally being a pair of pillocks towards him. He said that his health was suffering, or something along those lines, but I think it was mainly because of the way he was treated by the rest of the team. Gits.
I'm sad he's gone, but I hold hope that he and Ciaran get their own show one day; they always got on and they are my favourites!

I don't watch the new season because David was the only reason I watched MH.....David is brilliant....

I had heard somewhere David admitted he hated working on the show in later years, It was said on Q+A, he said, the show was more obsessed about going for demons and showing members of the crew supposedly getting affected by this. Even though he was a medium himself, he knows what the audience wants to see and that was a ghost being caught on camera. Which was never seen on the show, if there was a slammed down for example they'd never check if a window was open and maybe the draft from the window caused, to them it was a ghost!. They always went to locations that was known for having suppose dark entities and of course David had the problem of picking these nasty spirits up. He at times felt show was there for Yvette and Karl to boost up their image and felt the show had nothing to do with finding ghosts, they made out they were experts but they were no different to everybody else. He even said even mediums aren't necessarily experts.
