question about the parc

How did the criminals and murderers know that Margot gave him an appointment at the parc Monceau?
I mean, Alex checked it out at an internet café and he didn't use his own computer. The gangsters didn't know that he had an alibi thanks the dog. It is explained in the book or not? Did I miss something during the movie?

How would it make a difference if he was reading it at an internet cafe instead of his office or home? It's the same e-mail account.

His office and home computers were connected to Gilbert's men's computers. And they did not have access to that account, as they had only received the cryptic user id and password, not the real one that Alex had figured out. They couldn't have had access to him at the time he figured it out, either, since it was an internet cafe. It's a good question, I can't remember any clues that indicate how they would have found out he was meeting here there either.

One of several big plot holes (or poorly explained circumstances) in the film. Another thread has indicated that one of the henchmen had followed him into the internet cafe and may have seen the message while he was in there. Of course, this begs the question of how the henchman found Alex to tail him into the cafe to begin with (At this time, I believe we're hearing the chief henchman have to explain to Neuville that they've "lost" Alex and don't know where he is!!) The fact that Alex has apparently gone into hiding and no one should no where he is is completely disregarded from one scene to the next at this point in the film. Perhaps someone could provide a reasonable explanation, because it's been a few weeks since I saw the film--but how the bad guys had the park staked out in advance simply didn't make sense to me.

An e mail account can be hacked what computer he accessed it on doesn't matter. The henchmen had a computer expert on their payroll so they could have read the e mail which said the name of the park and the time and gotten there ahead of time.

OK, but they didn't have access to THAT account b/c that account could only be accessed through the cryptic password (as was noted in one of the comments above). Now if he was using his home computer..OK, they had hacked into that as he discovered...but they had neither access to the new account (without the ID and password--they explicitly noted that they couldn't "hack" previously) and he was not using any computer that he was previously associated with.

Of course I understand they we're supposed to just accept that they did it somehow--but the filmmakers go through various steps to show how it shouldn't happen and then just ask us to accept the opposite without sufficient explanation.

A henchman was following Alex... he was the one who allowed Alex to go ahead of him at the internet cafe (presumably to appear kind, and so he can sit beside Alex wherever he goes). He then sits by Alex and smiles. Not only can he see the user name and password as it is written (the password is shown and not hidden), but he can also see what the email says. Alex is likely too emotional and distracted by the dog to notice the man is watching him. This henchman has been tailing Alex and knows when he leaves to walk the dog.
Finally, this same henchmen from the internet cafe can be clearly seen in the park. He is the one in the park on the walkie-talkie (the one Margot notices)
