First off, love the film and book.
My only problem was the novels final twist, which thankfully was not included in the movie.
David Beck killed Brandon Scope? It just left me with more questions since everything else tied up so nicely.
Can anyone explain what exactly happened and how Beck ended up killing Brandon?

I've just finished the book and from what I gathered, when Brandon went to their house to kill Elizabeth, she wasn't there, but David was. Brandon attacked David (not sure why, maybe David saw the knife, or thought he knew about what he'd done to Elizabeth), but David defended himself with his dad's gun and shot him, therefore killing Brandon.
