I saw photos of him and he just looks like one messed up psychotic guy who writes psychotic stories for the purpose of being psychotic. He is his movies.

Yes well that's a pretty simplistic summary, but as someone probably said once somewhere, you can only write yourself. I guess that applies to both you and Ed Solondz.

what constitutes as "looking psychotic" is pretty arbitrary. he just looks like a typical Jew anyway.

also if all you got from his movies is psychosis then you're severely missing the point.

Not necessarily, it could just be that he is willing to go there where other directors are too scared to go. Most other sujects have been covered already many times but films about weirdness and pedophilia are still pretty taboo.

He probably went there because there was money to be made there... or because he wanted to make people more aware of it.
