Should've used his weight in a holocaust film

As an American G.I captured by the nazis and put in a concentration camp. Seriously, it would've been powerful, and realistic. Perfect opportunity for him to play a role, because I can't even think of an actor today to lose that much weight for a role, very rare and risky. I know he did a film called Rescue Dawn, which was okay.

Not saying The Machinist was bad or anything, but he didn't really show off his weight that much; that's what I really wanted to see, it seemed like he was covering up his weight.

i agree, his extremely low weight in this movie did seem a little out of place. being an insomniac wouldnt make someone look like he did in the movie. and trevor worked full time so he clearly woukd have had enough money for food/groceries.

And you're blind. You should, well, somehow look into that. Present opposing facts if you can. Also state what is racist about my comments. The Nazi's were in the wrong, just not to the extent you believe them to be. Can you truly be so stupid as to insult me and throw allegations that have no sticking point without being able to justify your comments with anything concrete? Did you know it is illegal even to TALK about this in Europe? Odd, no? You wouldn't let your biased opinion get in the way of facts would you? That would be dishonorable and unjust. Never be afraid of the truth. It shall set us all free.

Read through this page. There is lots of documents, eyewitness (Nazi guards and survivors) testimony, and physical evidence for the holocaust. Some of which is used even in Irvings work. Techniques and operations at Auschwitz is written by someone who used to deny the holocaust, so you could read that or something like Hilbergs famous book on the matter because its clear you have just visited some dodgy websites, maybe seen a David Cole (stein) video or something and then thought the Holocaust hasn't happened when its an incontestable fact that it did happen, if you examine the arguments and evidence with an open mind. Not sure how you could just fabricate and maintain the fabrication with so many people tbh.

A great Uncle of mine was whisked away & killed in one of those death camps, & then the nazis even tried to erase his existence (telling my great Aunt that he had never existed & to go home when she went to his place of work to find out WTH happened to him.) She had to find out from others. And his crime? Mocking under his breath one of the slogans posted in the factory he worked at, about how Germany was 'winning the war' (this was toward the end of the war when Germany was absolutely devastated).

A co-worker heard him mutter that (something along the lines of "winning the war? yeah...right") & turned him in.

The poor guy isn't just delusional, he's also uneducated. I guess he dropped out of school in the second or third grade, because he didn't make it far enough to learn that apostrophes are NEVER used to pluralize nouns. Only someone with an exceptionally low IQ makes that mistake.

Perhaps he should go talk to an actual survivor of a Nazi concentration camp and say the things to them that he said here. Of course, he'd never do that, because that would require courage, and we all know holocaust deniers are the most cowardly bunch of scum on the planet.

That's what racists are: ignorant and stupid. They take word-of-mouth from other racists as fact, and when they do any actual "research," the only online sources they trust is any that agree with their point of view. All the rest is "PC propaganda".

reply

Not a Holocaust film, but he already did the same thing in 'Rescue Dawn'.

American GIs were literally never put in the camps, dunno what the Nazis logic was, but it never happened

Yeah it was a strange decision for this role. If it was something like Schindler's List it would have made sense. This was a good movie but it didn't get a lot of exposure, he was so hard on his body for no reason. Feeling guilty about a hit and run and not sleeping doesn't call for psycho skeleton body.
