the House of Horror's Ride

I just re-watched the movie and was impressed by the amusement ride for some reason. It starts out tame and quickly becomes creepy with symbols of his real life. It reminded of modern video games and games like Bioshock Infinite that incorporated that kind of scene in some of its interactive story.

Also, the symbolic <-- Hell Heaven --> left right choices in the ride that later were paralleled with <-- Airport Downtown --> (where he confesses) and underground after being chased by the police, he picks the left dark passageway to escape.

That was one of the best scenes in the movie and I have to assume that he was replaying the left/right consequences of his return from fishing. I hear that there are shots in that scene that are available only if you advance the film frame by frame. I would like to know how to do that so I could see what I am missing.

It's just quick flashes from moments before he hitNicholas if I remember it correctly.

And of course the swinging "Highway 666" sign which reference his Route 66 swinging pendant in the car.
