Evan Rachel Wood

I think I might have seen it if she hadn't dropped out... even though she did, Hilary Duff should NOT have been the one to take her place.

And your reasons for sharing this with us?

The movie was ok, pretty fluffy though. If they had used the original version (which seemed to be more realistic) I think this movie could have been really great.

I have to agree with the whole replacing ERW with Hilary Duff thing. Could they not have found anyone worse? Evan Rachel Wood has a voice that would make getting into the summer music program way more realistic. Hilary Duff can sing, I guess, but she isn't very talented in that area.

its funny when people say hilary isnt talented. if she wasnt, people wouldnt have had faith in her to give her work, invest money into her career, etc.. girl is laughing her way to the bank. she's not the next great musical or acting prodigy, but her movies and music make a lot of people happy and entertained, so in my opinion she's doing her job quite well. i dont understand why people hate on her, she seems like a sweet girl.

my only gripe with the movie that is it was originally set in new york, which is way better than LA.

I feel like the lead needed to be a better singer. I mean, the movie rides on the idea that this is a girl with a gift and her brother says she has the best voice he ever heard. ERW isn't the best but better than Hilary. Jayne Weisner and Emmy Rossum aren't the best but are better singers. I feel like she was cast to be a box office draw because her career was at it's highest them. But to play the best of the best you have to hire to get the crème de la crop. They need an actress who can handle dramatic-or in this case-melodramatic material and has an amazing voice. Casting Hilary in a role of an amazing singer is like casting Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton in a role of an amazing singer. (I think Lohan was too!)

(To A.N.)I really, truly, madly, deeply, passionately, remarkably, deliciously love you.
