I don't get it...

I just saw the end of this movie as I was flipping through the stations, and you can tell it's a music school. What I don't understand, is that Hilary Duff's character is supposed to be this amazing singer, from what I got from the scene, and her song was supposed to be incredible...

If it was reality, wouldn't most of the school laughed her out? Her voice is worse than most of the people in my school. It's just very average and sing-a-long type voice. I don't get why the movie had such an average song and voice be the ending piece. Am I just deaf or something?

The movie had casting issues. Hilary's a sweet girl and all but I agree that when you are casting the role of a brilliant singer you cast a brilliant singer not a decent pop act trying to push her next album.

(To A.N.)I really, truly, madly, deeply, passionately, remarkably, deliciously love you.

her voice isn't that bad and i'm sure many singers like that get into music school, you go there to learn.

Her voice is average though, but she did write her songs so yeah.
