So at the end, with the scene after the credits, you see Chas after he has died and no he has wings. I was just wondering, was he always a "half breed" (as John calls them) there looking over/protecting John the whole time, or was he human the whole time and just became an angel after he died?
shareMy question is why Chas had red eyes and wings. The demons all had red eyes, and the angels had blue/green eyes. Chas, on the other hand, had red eyes and looked like an angel, what with the wings. Whaddupwitdat? Anyone?

His eyes looked gold to me with blue hidden in them. So maybe he was in transition.

I got right up on the screen like the myopic bat I am, and those eyes had red and gold in them. This does not mean that there was not blue, however; I am going to take your words and act on them. I will have to get a better look the next time it is on. Thanks for replying, too!

I watched the movie last night and Gabriel's eyes seemed to have gold centers (pupils) surrounded by a dark color of the iris. In the bar, there was a half-breed that had gold pupils surrounded by red irises, and then a half breed with gold pupils surrounded by dark colored irises. Chas at the end had gold pupils surrounded by a dark colored iris. That's the best I can do with this tv and it's color settings.
Viewing the movie on another tv, Gabriel's irises appear blue in the church, and that might be the color of the half-breeds in the bar. The red overtones inhibit a clear identification.
