Saw the screening - wish I hadnt

I have seen better comedies but my experience wasn't so bad. The entire theatre was laughing together for the majority of the film, so much that a lot of lines were not heard. Bow Wow and Beyonce Junior both suck at acting and all of the funny lines went to Cedric which I assume he improvised most it and that's why it was funny.

highlanderj456, I'm not dissing your opinion but only providing another one for anyone that may be interested in seeing it.

The movie is excellent and very funny. I saw the screening and maybe highlanderj456 was deaf because everyone was laughing!

It is a wholesome family movie and I would recommend to anyone that want to see Afro-Americans do comedy without the profanity and sexual immorality.

Highlander, I agree. This movie was mediocre and as far as marsyas, he's right. I had to force myself to laugh at some parts just so I would not cry at that fact I just wasted 6 dollars. Keep laughing...maybe it will seem more funny than it is... No, it wasn't. Um, yea I'm for all solidarity, being an African-American teenager who refuses to wear "hoochie clothes" it was nice to see a movie sans cursing/ball grabbing/gangsta/[insert ghetto sterotype here], but that's not going to make the fact that it was unfunny acceptable. Cedric, dump the family vacation movies, it doesn't suit you.

marsayas-1, your post would have a lot more oomph if you hadn't used the word "retards". Surely someone as eloquent and insightful and sensitive as yourself could come up with a more appropriate term; "mentally retarded" perhaps? Sorry to sound like the PC police, but I had to comment.

On a slightly less serious note, jhmusicman, in the future, it might be wise to avoid using the words "grasp" and "penis" in the same sentence, unless you really mean it, eh? I'm just joking around, in case anyone's thinking of flaming me for a neanderthal attitude.

I wouldn't waste 90 minutes of my life to see this movie in the theater if someone PAID ME $10, let alone shelling it out of my own hard-earned $$$.

i really have to wonder if certain celebs actually PAY people to defend them. why all the vitriol over how much someone you don't know and wouldn't recognize on the street despises something that you like? it's all nothing more than a matter of personal opinion (and we all know how those compare to a certain body part!) who gives a flying freak ata doughnut if i think cedric is no entertainer and is about as funny as a collapsed lung? does it REALLY cause you injury to know this? are you personally wounded to know that i think jim carrey, ben stiller, michael meyers and j blo should never have jobs more advanced than scrubbing fecal matter out of toilets? i just don't see why some people get so offended by the opinions of strangers. is johnson family vacation a rip off of national lamppons vacation? well duh. but then gladiator is a ripoff of braveheart. big deal. to paraphrase a popular expression "hollywood happens".
