The trailer looked so good.

The trailer made this seem like a wild, gag-a-minute comedy, but it used up all the good parts of the movie. This was an incoherent mess, taking various separate themes and anecdotes, and throwing them together with flimsy links. Too much of the logic was implausible even for a comedy, and ideas are hinted at which are swept aside or simply disappear without any resolution. Shannon Elizabeth needed much more screen time and an explanation for her character--was she an escaped criminal, echoing her role in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back? The movie seemed like it didn't have a script but was cobbled together from various scribblings on so many napkins by amateurs who take every single one of their own passing "comic" thoughts as gospel.
