All the vampires?

So after the movie hade ended and we'd reached the scene that was in the beginning I'm left with one question.
What happened to all the other vampires?

Assumingly, many of them were led into major cities by Father Callahan who became their new "Straker" after Barlow infected him with his unclean blood. That's why Ben and Mark had to kill him.

Well, Catholic priests always were a suspect lot. In many ways as we've all found out in recent years.
