So they used the same head vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

To be the head vampire in this movie. It was hard to take him seriously when I was thinking of Buffy whenever he was onscreen.

Also, it seemed to get dark really quickly in Salem's Lot. Every other line of dialogue was "it'll be dark soon" (once the vampires started showing up).

Thirdly, Rob Lowe's character feeling like a coward and saying that a presence in the Marsten House was laughing at his cowardice was silly. He was a nine year old boy, what was he supposed to do after what he saw? It's a lucky thing that he's not catatonic. Also, his acting was bad, and the narration was horrid. It's weird, I think this is the first and only thing I've seen Rob Lowe act in, though I've known (of) him since I was young.

Final thing, I disliked Susan Norton from the moment she said "because I'm interesting or because I'm blond"? Her character was annoying and unlike able to me.

Edit: I just read a review that mentions Rob Lowe in The Stand. I did see that. I can't believe I forgot. I'm not sure if I saw Rob in anything else though.

Yeah he didnt look menacing at all. The buffy movie was pretty bad, because studio interfered with pretty uch every part of it. Once Wheadon got his reign on the show however its really worth watching.

I agree that Rob Lowes acting was pretty bad in this but the Susan Norton character is the worst. From the moment she stepped on the screen I didnt care if she lived or the vampires got to her. Thats a shame too because in the original the Susan character was so like able.
