Great commentary by Rob Lowe, great acting from everyone, superb atmosphere, and beautifully shot.

Different from the 80's movie, but not inferior.

I know lots of people will call me nuts, but I like this better than the original movie.

It doesn't make you nuts at all. Many people don't like to see change, and you see it on the boards of every re-adaption or remake.

I won't call you nuts; I'm with you. Among other things, this one was slightly closer to the book. In addition, I think that Rob Lowe made a more convincing Ben Mears than David Soul.

Don't get me wrong, I thought that Soul did a good job, but Lowe was closer to the Ben Mears as I thought of him in the novel.
