Can anyone shed any light as to why this American movie was filmed in a small country town in Victoria, Australia?
shareIt was probably a lot cheaper to do so. Tax incentives etc etc. The Matrix movies shot a lot of footage in Australia as well. Lots of movies set in New York have been shot in Toronto and other places. It's the make believe business and costs a lot of money.

Yes, I guess economics in the first place to bring it to Oz, and then it would have been a case of finding a town with the right look. Thanks for your response.
shareIts cheaper to film everything outside of California or US. Most filming seems to be done in Canada. A lot of countries offer great incentives to film there.
